# HASS Test Data Creator

> Open source integration for Home Assistant: creates test devices, test entities and test data for development and load tests, with curves, schedules, faults, MQTT and Zigbee2MQTT. For test environments only, installable via HACS.

Hundreds of devices with believable values in a test instance of Home Assistant: plugs, sensors, lights, blinds and more, with curves, schedules and faults. Removable without a trace at any time.

## Key facts

## Features

Test data that feels like the real thing.

### Devices from templates

Nine templates from the plug with metering to the washing machine, or entities of your own. Up to 2000 devices, spread over areas that are created on the way.

### Curves instead of chance

Sine, random walk, household load, PV day, counters, state sequences and the replay of CSV files. Every curve is a function of time and seed: same seed, same values. In the panel you change them with a preview.

### Schedules and scenarios

Actions at fixed, repeating or random times, on one or several devices, a template or all of them. Scenarios chain steps with a wait. The form offers only actions that every chosen device can do.

### Faults at the push of a button

Dropouts, frozen values, spikes, a low battery, a falling link quality, late or duplicate messages: this is how you check what your dashboards and automations do with faults.

### Backfill the past

Writes hourly long-term statistics for up to 365 days from the curves, so that the Energy dashboard and history cards are full at once. A removal clears exactly these statistics again.

### MQTT and Zigbee2MQTT

Besides the native output the devices publish over MQTT discovery or in the Zigbee2MQTT format, groups included. The panel offers this only when an MQTT broker is set up.

### Time lapse

With a factor of 60 one hour runs per minute: daily curves and counters can be watched without waiting.

### Removable without a trace, and safely

Everything the integration creates carries a marker. A removal shows beforehand what it deletes and never touches foreign devices, entities, areas, statistics or MQTT topics. Devices that are in use are protected until they are taken out of schedules, scenarios and groups.
